...would be great for:
SpecialtyAs a motivational speaker Eric speaks on adversity and overcoming alcoholism and Tourette's syndrome en route to his Olympic dream. bioQuite by accident Eric came upon the sport of skeleton, as a missed exit on a mid-winter interstate drive eventually led him to happen upon Mt. Van Hovenburg – where the US Skeleton Team trains. The driving error turned out to be a fortuitous turn in Eric’s life as the sight of sleds rocketing down the icy track hooked him to the point of no return. Weeks later, Eric was on the sled and he hasn’t looked back since. Within the last four years Eric Bernotas took his inaugural skeleton run, became US National Champion and has already won three international World Cup Medals (two gold). He has established himself as one of the top sliders in the world and is one of the US Skeleton Team’s brightest hopes for an Olympic medal. testimony"I haven’t always dreamed of skeleton, but I have always dreamed and desired to pursue excellence in life. The challenges of life taught me to persevere by using my talent, strengthening my character, remaining open, embracing new opportunities, and praying for the courage to follow through with action. Over the past years, I have been fortunate to experience the love and care of my family and friends, who supported me as I faced alcoholism and who have continued to support me as I face depression and a tic disorder associated with Tourette Syndrome. By these graces, I’ve learned that obstacles can become opportunities, which has propelled me to unleash my potential, and to do so with purpose. In 2002, skeleton became my vehicle. I continue to grow and persevere. The lessons have been priceless. I thank God for the opportunity to be my best, and I am motivated to make a difference by inspiring others to discover their potential." Accolades
