Specialty

John’s “Keeping it Real” message touches all ages. He uses his experiences of playing football and relates it to real life knowing that we have all been knocked down, faced adversity, and have had obstacles stand in our way. Through biblical principals John hammers home his points with a strong message of hope in Jesus Christ.

testimony

Going to church my whole life I thought that it was all I needed, but was I ever wrong.

In college I went searching for something but never found it....football, social acceptance and anything that made me happy left me feeling empty on the inside. When I tried to fall back on religion I quickly found myself hurt and confused. I knew the right way to live but had no direction in my life.

Again, turning to what made me happy, football, I thought it would solve whatever I was going through. Being told about a bright future in football I thought it would cure all that ailed me. Then it happened in a span of 14 months, I broke my right foot twice and left foot twice. With nothing left I had thoughts of giving up on life. Not knowing the full scope of this I turned to my dad.

In March on 1991 my dad shared with me about a relationship with Jesus. I thought I had a relationship with Jesus, but what I had was religion. My dad shared the difference with me one night over the phone and I went from knowing about Jesus to knowing Him personally. I simply surrendered my life to the one who gave his life for me, Jesus. With this I finally found the peace that only comes from a relationship with Christ.
