Video:SpecialtyJuan is the founder of Vida Youth, an organization designed to reach youth with a message of hope and encouragement. BioJuan came to the U.S. at the age of sixteen to play tennis where he won the State Championship in TX. After returning to Mexico, he decided to attend Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, OK. A year later, Juan arrived at the ORU campus with only 50 dollars in his pocket, and a very limited English vocabulary. Though Juan had not yet been accepted to the University, he felt strongly that he was supposed to be there. Days later, he was accepted into ORU and eventually went on to excel at Varsity Tennis and Track for four years. He graduated in 1994 with a degree in International Business, and went on to compete internationally in triathlons for 5 years. During this time, Juan was sponsored by large corporations that were eager to support his vision. He went on to compete in some of the most prestigious races in the world, including the Hawaii Ironman World Championship in 1999. In 2000 Juan started a tennis academy in Beverly Hills, CA. His clients included celebrities, actors, producers and writers. In 2004 Juan founded Vida Youth entertainment to motivate, encourage and bring hope to youth through media. Juan also hosts a 30 minute television show, currently airing around the world in Spanish and English, just recently launched Vida Youth magazine and is working on his first book called "Don't Get Lost" to be released Fall 2006. Juan is fluent in Spanish and English. testimony:Soon after Juan De Lascurain reached the age of twelve, his parents divorced. It was during this painful time that his mother started attending church. A year later, Juan’s mother gave him his very own Bible. He thought it was embarrassing to read the Bible, but after a while he decided to start reading it and realized that there was a lot of wisdom and great stories. The more he read God’s word, the more God revealed to him that He loved him and that He had a great plan for his life. Today, Juan’s desire is to be able to motivate, encourage and bring hope to his generation, giving them the opportunity to reach their full potential. So many kids today are growing up without any hope. They live in broken homes, without positive role models and rarely experience true love by others. Many kids find themselves addicted to drugs and alcohol at such a young age that they never get the opportunity to fulfill their destiny. DON´T GET LOST!! - As the slogan of Vida Youth, we all have a purpose for being here on earth, we all have dreams and things we want to accomplish and a lot of times we lack the emotional and financial support to keep on going and accomplish those dreams. When that happens a lot of people end up lost in drugs and alcohol not accomplishing the purpose that they were created for; but when we have faith, work hard and believe in ourselves nothing is impossible.
